We came here on a whim after church, but this visit was special because we brought my cousin, who had never been to Kerby Lane before. From the moment we were seated and met our incredible waiter, Max, we felt right at home. Max was extremely helpful and attentive; he guided us with the specials of the month and made meal suggestions based on what we were in the mood for. Our food was cooked to perfection, and my cousin was thoroughly impressed! I'm sure we will definitely be stopping by again in the near future.

I got the pancake flight, which consisted of three pancakes: blueberry, lemon poppy seed with lemon glaze, and their monthly special "king pancake", a buttermilk pancake swirled with cinnamon sugar glaze and topped with Mardi Gras sprinkles and powdered sugar. I asked for the glazes on the side so that I could control the sweetness level, which I highly recommend. All three pancakes were big and fluffy. They're very filling; I would have been happy with just two pancakes. The king pancake was the sweetest of the three (more of a dessert than a breakfast), and my favorite pancake was the lemon poppy seed. Our server Max was friendly and provided amazing service.

Kirby lane - an Austin staple that gives you a lot of food! Love their queso, and like to sit at the bar (it's much faster than waiting for a seat and you can watch the cooking machine work). Haven't had a bad experience yet outside of the nightmare that is trying to park on a weekend. Try their seasonal French toast (it's dense!) or the Migas! Sandwiches are decent too. Our server at this location was also pretty nice even while being very busy

1/30/25- Always up to trying out a new place for coffee.. Bright and roomy store front- Seemed to have a great morning crowd- Went to the counter and decided on a Honey Butter Latte- Five stars based on the coffee only- Five because they offered Soy Milk! Staff was nice and tweaked it so it wasn't too sweet. Oh my it was perfect! Would I come back?.. most definitely- What would I try?: the maple latte!

Kerbey Lane is always good enough but never exciting. It's where you go when you want a casual meal out, with something to suit everyone in your party, and don't want to go to a national chain. This particular Kerbey Lane location holds a fond place in my heart because it's where my friends and I ended up my first Thanksgiving in Austin. We naively thought going out for dinner on a holiday was a good idea. Hours later we had an adequate, albeit untraditional meal. Recently, some friends met here for brunch. I discovered the Texas Benedict, featuring eggs, steak avocado, and queso over cornbread, and that will become my new standard order whenever I end up here again.
